About Yellow Plumbing

Yellow Plumbing is a growing residential plumbing and heating company based in New Haven, Connecticut, and a proud Nexstar member. We deliver white-glove service to homeowners and businesses across greater New Haven, from drain cleaning and leak repairs to tankless water heaters, boilers, and combi units. We're looking for an A-player Plumbing Technician who is great with customers, skilled in the field, and ready to grow into a leader as we build out our team.

Compensation & Benefits

$30/hr base plus performance pay.

• Paid time off on an accrual basis

• Take-home company truck, fully stocked with new tools and equipment

• Ongoing training, including industry trainings we attend as a team

• A real voice in which benefits we add next as the company grows

• Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm. No on-call, no nights, no weekends.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair residential and light commercial plumbing systems

• Handle drain cleaning, leaks, shower valves, fixtures, and general plumbing repairs

• Service, repair, and install tankless water heaters, boilers, and combi units

• Complete installations and replacements when needed

• Educate homeowners on their options and present long term solutions

• Use ServiceTitan on a tablet to manage calls, estimates, and job documentation

• Share what you see in the field and help shape how we run our calls and serve customers

• As we grow, mentor apprentices and help develop the next generation of Yellow technicians

What We're Looking For

• Hands-on plumbing and heating experience, including water heaters, boilers, or combi units

• Connecticut P-1, P-2, S-1, or S-2 license preferred. Strong candidates still working toward their license will be considered.

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

• Excellent communication; you listen, care, and connect with customers

• Comfortable with tablet-based field software. ServiceTitan experience is a plus.

• Open to learning, coaching, feedback, and trying new ideas

• A team player who wants to grow with a company long term

• Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
