The Opportunity
We're seeking a Regional Service Manager to lead our Des Moines market and help drive the next phase of growth. This role is ideal for an experienced service leader who enjoys developing technicians, improving operational performance, and building a high-performing team.
While HVAC/R experience is highly valued, this position is primarily focused on leadership, coaching, accountability, customer experience, and business performance rather than turning wrenches.
You'll partner closely with technicians, dispatch, operations, and company leadership to ensure exceptional customer service, strong technician performance, and profitable growth across the region.

What You'll Do
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, coach, and develop HVAC/R service technicians
Conduct ride-alongs, field observations, and coaching sessions
Support technician growth through training, mentoring, and accountability
Recruit, interview, onboard, and retain top talent
Foster a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Performance Management
Monitor and improve technician performance and productivity
Track KPIs including:
Revenue performance
Average ticket
Callback rates
Technician efficiency
Customer satisfaction
Maintenance agreement performance
Utilize reporting tools to identify trends and coaching opportunities
Develop action plans to improve individual and team performance
Operations & Customer Experience
Support dispatch and scheduling teams to maximize technician utilization
Assist with escalated customer concerns and service recovery
Ensure customers receive exceptional communication and service
Maintain high standards for safety, documentation, and quality workmanship
Business Growth
Drive service department growth and profitability
Support forecasting, budgeting, and workforce planning
Improve technician development and customer retention
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, revenue, and operational performance
What We're Looking For
Previous Service Manager, Operations Manager, General Manager, Regional Manager, Field Supervisor, or similar leadership experience
Commercial HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, or home service leadership experience preferred
Proven ability to coach, mentor, and develop technicians
Experience managing KPIs and department performance
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to lead through accountability and positive influence
Experience recruiting, hiring, and retaining team members
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
