The Role
As a Lead Service Technician – HVAC/R, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment while serving as a field leader for less experienced technicians.
This role is ideal for a highly skilled technician who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems, mentoring team members, and delivering exceptional service to commercial and industrial customers.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems
Service walk-in coolers, freezers, rack systems, prep tables, ice machines, and commercial HVAC equipment
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration-related issues
Lead service calls and support apprentice and junior technicians in the field
Ensure quality workmanship and safety compliance on all jobs
Perform preventative maintenance and emergency service calls
Complete accurate service documentation and work orders
Communicate professionally with customers, dispatch, and management
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment
What We're Looking For
3-5 years of commercial HVAC/R experience (refrigeration industry experience)
EPA Universal Certification required
Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills
Proven leadership or mentoring experience in the field
Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently
Professional attitude and strong work ethic
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and continuous learning
