About SRV
SRV is a growing commercial refrigeration and HVAC/R company providing service, maintenance, construction, equipment replacement, and project solutions to commercial and industrial customers. We are building a scalable sales organization to support our continued growth across the Mountain West.
The Role
SRV is hiring a Director of Sales & Business Development to build and lead our business-development function and manage the company’s sales organization. Initially, this will be a hands-on position focused on winning new customers, developing strategic accounts, and creating a repeatable sales process.
As the company grows, the Director will recruit, coach, manage, and lead a team of business-development representatives and account managers. This includes establishing sales goals, managing performance, developing team processes, and creating accountability across the sales organization.
This is an opportunity to build a sales organization from the ground up while remaining directly involved in important customer relationships and sales opportunities.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute SRV’s commercial refrigeration and HVAC/R sales strategy.
Identify, pursue, and close new business with multi-site operators, facility managers, property managers, general contractors, developers, and commercial building owners.
Grow preventive-maintenance agreements, service relationships, equipment replacements, retrofit projects, and construction opportunities.
Personally manage strategic accounts and complex sales opportunities.
Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline using SRV’s CRM.
Establish sales stages, forecasting standards, KPIs, account plans, and reporting.
Set sales goals and performance expectations for the sales organization.
Manage sales team performance through regular pipeline reviews, one-on-ones, coaching, and accountability.
Recruit, onboard, train, and lead business-development representatives and account managers as the team grows.
Partner with estimating, service, construction, and operations to develop proposals and ensure successful project handoffs.
Maintain pricing and gross-margin discipline throughout the sales process.
Develop SRV’s sales playbook, territory structure, and account-ownership rules.
Establish consistent sales processes, communication standards, and best practices across the team.
Represent SRV at customer meetings, industry events, and trade associations.
Qualifications
Seven or more years of B2B sales or business-development experience.
Experience in commercial refrigeration, HVAC/R, mechanical contracting, facility services, construction, or a related technical-services industry.
Demonstrated success developing new accounts and closing complex service or project opportunities.
Experience selling preventive-maintenance agreements and recurring service relationships is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of gross margin, pricing, contracts, and sales forecasting.
Experience building sales processes, implementing CRM discipline, and coaching or managing salespeople.
Experience recruiting, developing, and holding sales team members accountable is preferred.
Existing relationships with commercial and industrial customers in the Mountain West are preferred.
Ability to travel regionally for customer meetings and industry events.
Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
What Success Looks Like
Within the first year, the Director will:
Establish SRV’s sales strategy, target markets, CRM process, and reporting cadence.
Build a healthy and measurable pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Win profitable new service agreements, strategic accounts, and project work.
Create a consistent handoff process between sales, estimating, and operations.
Establish clear sales goals, performance expectations, and accountability standards.
Develop a hiring and team-development plan for SRV’s business-development and account-management positions.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary of $135,000–$150,000, depending on experience.

Company vehicle or vehicle allowance and fuel reimbursement.
Medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
401(k) plan.
