About this role
We are looking for an AI Technical Lead / Co-Coding Architect to help us deliver custom software projects using an AI-first development workflow.
This is not a traditional developer role where you sit in an IDE and write every line of code manually. Our model is different: we use AI coding agents in a controlled server-based development environment. The right person will know how to plan with AI, challenge AI, review AI-generated code, make strong architectural decisions, and guide projects from client requirements through implementation.
You should be technical enough to understand full-stack architecture, databases, APIs, infrastructure, security, scalability, and code quality. But just as important, you need to be able to communicate well with clients, ask good questions, clarify requirements, and turn vague business needs into clear technical plans.
Responsibilities:
Meet with clients to understand goals, requirements, constraints, and priorities.
Translate discovery conversations into technical plans, user flows, acceptance criteria, and implementation tasks.
Use AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar tools inside our server-based Co-Coding environment.
Plan and guide AI-generated development rather than manually coding everything from scratch.
Push back on AI output when the architecture, code quality, security, or product direction is weak.
Commit work into our review process for developer and QA review.
Help improve our internal AI-assisted development workflow.
Communicate clearly with clients and internal team members.
What we are looking for:
Strong full-stack development experience.
Good architectural judgment.
Experience with modern web apps, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
Comfort working in a terminal/server-based development environment.
Strong English communication skills.
Ability to work with meaningful overlap in U.S. time zones.
A client-facing personality: curious, professional, clear, and comfortable asking questions.
Willingness to follow and improve our Co-Coding process instead of defaulting to a traditional solo developer workflow.
Excitement about AI-first software development.
This role is ideal for someone who believes AI can do a large portion of implementation, but also understands that strong human judgment is still required for planning, architecture, review, product decisions, and client communication.
