Residential Service Electrician

About the Role

This position focuses primarily on residential electrical service work, including diagnosing, repairing, and recommending solutions for homeowners. Service experience is preferred, but electricians with strong residential backgrounds looking to transition into service are encouraged to apply.

This role works closely with dispatch, customer service, and field teams to ensure an excellent customer experience from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete residential electrical service calls professionally and efficiently

• Diagnose and repair electrical systems and components

• Build trust with homeowners and recommend appropriate solutions

• Educate customers on repair options, financing, and maintenance plans

• Maintain accountability to service goals and performance expectations

• Keep work vehicles stocked, clean, and organized

• Work closely with dispatch and customer service teams for smooth scheduling and communication

• Participate in training, team meetings, and company events

• Mentor apprentices and assist with training less experienced electricians

• Submit accurate invoices, documentation, and service records on time

• Maintain clean and safe job sites

Qualifications

• 4+ years of electrical experience required

• Residential electrical experience strongly preferred

• Service experience preferred but not required

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, breakers, junction boxes, and troubleshooting

• Knowledge of local electrical codes and safety standards

• Strong customer communication and professionalism

• Self-motivated with strong organizational skills

• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to continue learning and growing

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
