The Opportunity

We're looking for a Field Supervisor to own everything technician- and installer-related at Paragon. Some companies call this role a Service Manager, but this is not a dispatch or office position. It's a working leadership role for a former HVAC technician who knows the trade from the truck up and is still willing to run calls.

You'll lead our service techs and installers, build their skills, hold the team to a high standard, and step in personally on warranty call-backs, tough jobs, and staffing gaps. You'll also help grow the business through commercial maintenance contracts, maintenance programs, and accurate job scoping.

What You'll Do

• Maintain constant awareness and supervision of all service, maintenance, and installation jobs

• Manage and direct all technicians and installers, who report directly to you

• Ensure the technical accuracy, efficiency, and budget compliance of every job

• Create and run a technical training program to grow technician and installer skills

• Serve as a direct point of contact with customers to strengthen relationships and improve retention

• Provide on-call support to techs and installers by phone or in person, and take over jobs when needed to ensure they're completed successfully

• Personally run all warranty call-backs to identify technical deficiencies and coach the responsible tech or installer

• Run jobs yourself during staffing shortages

• Oversee all field staffing, including job postings, interviews, hiring, and terminations

• Hold technicians accountable for punctuality, work order completeness, average ticket size, approved work recommendations, and tech-sold maintenance contracts

• Help the Warehouse Manager interview, hire, and train warehouse helpers

• Help the Project Management team accurately scope and sell jobs

• Develop SOPs for maintenance scopes, refine existing maintenance offerings, and introduce new maintenance programs

• Own all commercial maintenance contracts, including their sales and execution

• Work with management to develop field bonus and commission programs, and to set your own KPIs, growth metrics, and performance benchmarks

Requirements

• Hands-on background as an HVAC service technician and/or installer

• Willingness to run calls, take over jobs, and personally handle warranty call-backs

• Experience leading, training, and holding field technicians accountable

• Strong technical and diagnostic knowledge across residential and commercial HVAC

• Comfortable hiring, coaching, and when necessary terminating field staff

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous field supervisor, service manager, or lead technician experience

• Experience building a technical training program

• Commercial maintenance contract sales and management experience

• Boiler, hydronic, and tankless water heater experience

• EPA 608 certification

• Service Fusion experience (we'll train you)
