About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC/R Service Technician to join a respected commercial HVAC service team serving customers throughout the Tri-State area. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys troubleshooting complex mechanical systems, solving challenging problems, and building strong relationships with commercial customers.
You'll perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, installations, and system startups on a wide variety of commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment. From rooftop units and chillers to refrigeration systems and building automation, every day brings a new challenge. What You'll Do
Perform preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and replace HVAC/R systems and related mechanical equipment.
Complete detailed service reports using a tablet and generate repair recommendations or material requests.
Interact professionally with commercial customers to understand issues and communicate solutions.
Complete equipment startups and commissioning for new construction projects.
Coordinate daily with your assigned service coordinator.
Attend ongoing union training classes and technical education.
Follow OSHA standards and company safety procedures on every job.
What You'll Bring
High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Professional attitude with a strong work ethic.
Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
Commercial HVAC service experience.
Experience working on refrigeration systems, chillers, cooling towers, rooftop units, gas-fired boilers, pumps, VAV systems, and building automation systems.
Knowledge of HVAC controls, electrical systems, and piping/plumbing.
OSHA 30 Certification.
NYC SST Card.
