    About this role

    The Senior MEP Manager will oversee Electrical components for a large data center project near the Alexandria, LA area. This position manages and controls assigned projects, including safety, budgets, contracts, schedules, trade contractors, and supplier coordination across projects ranging from small to large and/or complex. The role provides leadership throughout the project to ensure timely and quality results while coordinating closely with Superintendents, owners, design teams, and subcontractors. The position also provides functional expertise and regional project management team leadership.

     

    For this Electrical role, we are looking for someone who has owned electrical construction, rather than merely coordinating around electrical. Ideally they have managed large electrical packages, has GC/EPC experience, switchgear/MV-LV/UPS/generators/controls experience, and experience in subcontractor management, procurement/long-lead equipment, RFIs/submittals, schedule, cost/forecasting/change management, energization/commissioning and closeout.

     

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field and 6+ years of experience running construction projects with contract values greater than $5 million.

    • Or, completion of an associate’s degree in construction management and 8+ years of relevant project management experience.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Current or ability to become current with OSHA 30 and company safety requirements.

     

    Must Have Skills:

    • 6+ years of experience running construction projects with contract values greater than $5 million, or 8+ years of relevant project management experience with an associate’s degree in construction management

    • Proficiency with scheduling, spreadsheets, cost control, and project management software

    • Proficiency with construction programs such as Prolog, Microsoft Project, P6, Procore, and Bluebeam is a plus

    • Solid understanding of value engineering, life cycle costing, and project profit/cost processes

    • Thorough experience with multiple contract types under the CMR and Design-Build delivery methods

    • Ability to manage project safety, budgets, contracts, schedules, trade contractors, and supplier coordination

    • Experience reviewing shop drawings, RFI’s, ASI’s, project plans, and contract requirements

    • Experience managing material procurement, submittals, fabrication, and delivery

    • Experience with project cost codes, budgets, cash flow reports, cost projections, and project cost control

    • Experience preparing pay applications, managing collections, and monitoring project cash flow

    • Experience reviewing trade contractor/supplier payment applications and lien waivers

    • Ability to review projects for constructability and cost feasibility and complete project risk assessments

    • Ability to prepare scope of work matrices and manage trade contractor/supplier buy-out

    • Experience with project quality control plans and compliance

    • Ability to travel

    • Willingness to work in various (sometimes extreme) climate conditions

    • Demonstrated experience managing large, complex electrical construction scopes, ideally within data centers, mission-critical, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, or similar technically complex environments.

    • Experience coordinating electrical trade contractors and major electrical systems such as MV/LV distribution, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, busway, controls, and associated commissioning/energization activities.

    • Experience managing long-lead electrical equipment procurement, including schedule impacts, fabrication/delivery tracking, and mitigation strategies.

    • Strong preference for candidates who have directly owned the commercial and operational side of electrical construction, including subcontractor management, cost forecasting, change management, schedule, procurement, and closeout.

    Compensation, Schedule & Project Details:

    • Base Salary: Approximately $160,000–$220,000, depending on experience.

    • Travel Home: Two company-paid trips home per month for traveling employees.

    • Schedule: Currently 6 days per week / 10-hour days.

    • Project Type: Large-scale, mission-critical/hyperscale data center construction.

    • Project Runway: Multi-building program with approximately 5+ years of anticipated work, providing longer-term continuity beyond a single building.

    • Relocation/Travel: Candidates may relocate to the area or work on a travel basis.
