About the Role

We are looking for a highly experienced HVAC Installer Technician to install new heating and air conditioning systems for residential and light commercial customers throughout the Los Angeles area. You will travel to customer properties, inspect existing equipment, install new systems, and make sure every system is operating safely and efficiently before you leave the job.

This role is ideal for a seasoned, self-motivated installer who can run an install from start to finish, takes pride in clean, quality workmanship, and treats every customer's home with respect.

Compensation

• $30–$40 per hour

• Compensation based on work experience, skill level, and background

Duties & Responsibilities

• Install HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless systems, ductwork, and ventilation systems.

• Inspect existing customer HVAC systems for safety and effectiveness before replacement.

• Test new systems to ensure proper operation and adherence to manufacturer specifications.

• Diagnose and correct electrical and mechanical issues found during installation.

• Perform warranty work and start-up maintenance as needed.

• Keep job sites clean and maintain an organized inventory of equipment, tools, and materials.

• Follow company safety standards, applicable codes, and manufacturer requirements.

• Communicate professionally with customers and answer questions about their new system.

• Participate in ongoing technical and Carrier factory training.

• Be available to work after hours, weekends, and holidays when needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years of residential HVAC installation experience.

• EPA 608 certification required.

• Ability to lead an install from start to finish, including tear-out, equipment setting, line sets, electrical, and start-up/testing.

• Valid driver's license.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

• Vocational training, apprenticeship, or HVAC program education preferred.

• Working knowledge of air conditioning, refrigeration, heating, and boiler systems.

• Comfortable with hand and power tools, ladders, attics, and confined spaces.

• Reliable, organized, and able to work independently and as part of a crew.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
