Who are we?
We are dedicated to being the most sought after service provider in the Portland Metro area. Our vision is to set the industry standard and be the trendsetter, inspiring competitors to reach for our level of excellence.
Our success is intertwined with yours, as we believe in mutual financial growth. We are committed to equipping, empowering, and supporting our team members to achieve the highest standards of service and professionalism. By investing in our employees, we are investing in the success of our company.
At Apollo Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, our goal is not only to provide exceptional services but also to improve the quality of life for both our employees and customers. We strive to create a positive impact on everyone we interact with, ensuring that both our team members and clients experience the highest level of satisfaction and well-being.
Family-owned and operated, Apollo has served the Portland and Vancouver metro areas for over 35 years.
Our mitigation and reconstruction team helps homeowners recover from water, fire, and mold damage, and most of those jobs run through insurance. We are looking for an in-house Claims Specialist to keep those claims moving: following up with insurance adjusters, working directly with our estimating team and AR department, and making sure every job gets approved and paid. Prior mitigation or restoration experience is a plus, but not required. If you bring strong office, billing, customer service, and organizational skills, we will teach you the industry.
Are You a Fit?
You have office, billing, accounts receivable, or insurance follow-up experience and enjoy owning a process from start to finish.
You are persistent and polite on the phone and over email, and you do not let a stuck claim sit without a next step.
You are highly organized and can keep track of many open files, deadlines, and conversations at once.
You communicate clearly and professionally with adjusters, coworkers, and homeowners, even when a situation is stressful.
You pick up new software and systems quickly.
You want to grow with a company that invests in its people.
What You'll Do
Follow up with insurance adjusters and carrier representatives on open mitigation and reconstruction claims until they are approved and paid.
Work directly with our estimating team to get adjusters the estimates, photos, moisture logs, and job documentation they request.
Partner with our AR department to track outstanding insurance receivables and follow up on delayed, short-paid, or unpaid claims.
Keep claim files organized, complete, and up to date in our company systems.
Track claim status and flag approvals, supplements, and missing items to the estimating and project teams.
Communicate with homeowners about claim progress, deductibles, and balances.
Help resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
What We're Looking For
Previous office, billing, accounts receivable, collections, or insurance follow-up experience.
Strong customer service and professional phone and email communication skills.
Excellent organization and attention to detail.
Comfortable with computers, data entry, and learning new systems.
Experience in water mitigation, fire, mold, or restoration is a plus, not required.
Experience working with insurance adjusters, carriers, or TPA programs, or familiarity with Xactimate or XactAnalysis, is a plus.
